Today I am waiting to have an area of skin removed that came back as cancer. The process of removing skin cancer can be as long as the entire bi lateral mastectomy as the Dr tries to get all of the cells layer by layer until your skin is clear.
I arrived at 11:30 for my procedure. It is 12:15 and I am only just now sitting on the other side of a door waiting for the Dr. I know the idea here was less scarring but to be honest I just want it out.
The surgery center called to ask the pre-op questions. She mentioned the need for antibiotics and I almost lost it. In the past year I have removed significant parts of my body. This spot is so minute, almost unseen by my eyes. Just cut it out and be done with it!!!!!
For now I am just sitting here waiting!
