Went in for my first fill up today. I didn't know what to expect. I knew that the new boobs I took in there with me still felt pretty foreign. For example, in the middle of the night wile trying to pull up my covers I hit my hand on something. I didn't realize right away what it was. What I hit was so hard, I thought the covers were stuck. At some point when I was conscious just enough, I was reminded, that it was my boob.
When the Dr. came into the Dr on he brought with him this unbelievable sense of calm. He asked me how I was doing and then how I was.healing. I asked him questions that I was curious about like will these new boobs always feel so foreign? Would my muscle always be so tight? I even asked him if I would ever have boob sweat again? The new boobs do not have cleavage. He explained that creating cleavage was impossible. He said messing with muscle over the sternum was a challenge. He did laugh at the boob sweat question. He also explained that when the expanders come out and the implants go in it will be much softer but, no I would not have cleavage.
After he numbed my boobs near the port, for which he used a magnet to locate, he explained that he was going to fill them. He used a 60ml syringe to fill each side. I glanced over at my husband who was mesmerized by this process. When he caught my eye I felt like he was hoping a full gallon was going in on each side. I am certain my face said uhh no! This process was not painful but once full my muscles were very tight.
I was cleared from that terrible surgical bra so my first stop was a new bra. Turns out a bra isn't ever going to work on man made boobs but, a bralette or what I like to call boob floss is perfect. After the purchase of 4 new bralettes, my fuller boobs and I were headed home. Although he was hesitant, the Dr. cleared me for work on Monday!
That night I was fine and even looked at my fuller set. The scars were there, they were fuller but the scars were still there!!
